ABOUT CELIA

I am a lifelong artist who was inspired in my early 20s to begin studying photography and creating exhibits. It was a time full of promise and new purpose.

Not long after, to support myself in work closely allied with my artistic passion, I became an independent assignment photographer. Two decades of practice led to a specialty in photographing designed spaces (interiors, architecture, and gardens). For many years my work was published in national and regional magazines, and in books.

Upon returning to a focus on my own inner-driven work, my path led to exhibits in galleries again, and in museums. I am grateful that my art has been privately collected for many years now and is in several corporate and museum collections.

My parents were both strong and formative influences - my father an intrepid entrepreneur with an early love for the land and agriculture, and my mother a professional modern dancer who was travelling the world by the time she was 19. I feel sure my life's path has been, and will always be, significantly affected by their creative and bold spirits.
