THE PHOTOGRAPHS
From the Photographer's Note:
"...It does feel to me, at the root of all, that wherever darkness is, light lives too - both in us and in the world around us. I have trusted this for most of my life. I realize it may or may not ring true for you because of your own life experience. To be honest, I lose trust in some moments and wonder if the light has gone out.
Making these images always helps restore my faith, because when I stop long enough to look out into the natural world, there is so often a visual feast full of the light and spirit that I have always loved - bare trees dancing at the edge of a marsh; sheer curtains kissed by the sun; the golden grace of late season leaves; a hand-sized rock naturally shaped into a heart. And in their presence, I feel reassured..."
